Zhang Earns Second A-10 Volleyball Rookie Of The Week Honor

PHILADELPHIA-Sophomore outside hitter Yun Yi Zhang was named the Atlantic 10's Rookie of the Week for the week ending October 28. This is the second A-10 honor of the season for the Shanghai, China native.

Zhang had another great weekend, with 31 kills, just 6 errors, for nearly a 40% hitting percentage. She also had 17 digs. In the 3-0 victory over Charlotte, she had 10 kills, just three errors, five digs, two blocks and three assists. In the shutout of GW, she earned a double-double with a match-high 21 digs, just three errors, and 12 digs. She also posted a .514 hitting percentage and four blocks.

She is ranked second in the A-10 in kills, averaging 4.44 kpg, and third in points (4.86).
