Buffaloe Reaches IC4A Standards In Weight Throw As Owls Finish Fourth at UDel

NEWARK, DE - Sophomore Bryce Buffaloe reached IC4A qualifying standards in the weight throw with a season-best distance of 55-3 1/2 to lead the Temple men's indoor track and field team to a fourth place finish at the Delaware Invitational on Saturday. Buffaloe, who placed third in the event, is only three inches from breaking his own school record, set last season.
Sophomore Joshua Louis won the high jump with a season-best tying mark of 6-8 and also was seventh in the 60m hurdles (8.75). Junior Marcos Edghill finished second in the 60m dash (7.03) and fourth in the 60m hurdles (8.38).
Freshman Rob McGriff also had an impressive showing, finishing fifth in the 60m dash (7.09) and sixth in the 200m (22.89). Junior Marquise Stancil was second in the 500m (1:06.06).
Sophomore Jim Waddington posted a season-best in the 1000m (2:41.17) to pace the distance runners.
Delaware State won the seven-team event with 134 points, followed by Maryland-Eastern Shore (124.5), Delaware (124) and Temple (98).
The Owls will take on the conference's best next Saturday at the Atlantic 10 Indoor Track Championship, hosted by Rhode Island.
