LAWRENCEVILLE, NJ - Sophomore Joshua Louis cleared a season-best mark of 6-7 to win the high jump and lead Temple to a fifth place showing at the Rider Invitational on Saturday. Freshman Tim Boeni also won the long jump with a season-best distance of 21-9 and junior Marcos Edghill was second in the triple jump (42-2).

Junior Andrew Fries led the throwers by finishing second in the javelin (180-3). Sophomore Bryce Buffaloe was sixth in the hammer throw (146-3), 11th in the discus (116-11) and 14th in the shot put (38-8 1/4).

Edghill also finished third in the 110m hurdles (15.90) and fourth in the 100m (10.98) while classmate Marquise Stancil was second in the 400m (50.02). Freshman Garrett Summers was second in the 400m hurdles (57.90).

Sacred Heart won the team title with 160 points, edging La Salle (139), Rider (98), Delaware (90), Temple (87), Saint Peter's (22) and Loyola (MD) (2).

Temple is back in action on Friday at Princeton's Larry Ellis Invitational.
