Men's Track Competes At Penn Relays, TCNJ Invite

EWING, NJ - Temple completed its final preparation for next weekend's Atlantic 10 Championship by competing at the TCNJ Invitational on Saturday. A trio of freshman, Brad McFadden, Tim Boeni and Grant West, turned in second place finishes to lead the Owls.
Boeni was second in the long jump (22-2 1/2), West was second in the hammer throw (156-0) and McFadden was second in the 400m hurdles (55.95). Sophomore Joshua Louis was third in the high jump (6-6 3/4), freshman Garrett Summers was third in the triple jump (43-4 1/4), and sophomore Bryce Buffaloe was also third in the hammer throw (152-8).
The Owls also sent competitors to the Penn Relays last week. Junior Andrew Fries finished 17th in the javelin (171-2). The 4x400 relay was eighth in the Wezler/Pennsylvania race (3:23.17) while the sprint medley won its heat in a time of 3:29.24.
The Cherry and White travels to Charlotte this weekend for the Atlantic 10 Championship.
