Our family sends its deepest sympathy to you. We were shocked and deeply saddened to hear of the accident. Even though we only knew Rich for a short period of time, please know he will always be remembered in our hearts.

Ryan respected him as a roommate and a teammate but most of all as a true friend. Rich lived his life as it should be lived; to its fullest, one day at a time and he appeared to never sweat the small stuff. We are honored to have had the privilege of knowing him. All of Ryan's family shares your grief and we will keep you in our thoughts and prayers as the healing begins.

When it's game time in heaven, the angels will fight to have Rich on their team.

When I last saw Richie, it was at my wedding. It had been awhile since I've saw him last and he was a young man all of the sudden. He seemed to be enjoying life & taking advantage of some great opportunities playing baseball & doing what he loved to do. His spirit will stay with me.

Michele

To a great customer and a great friend, who was my buddy when I go home to Margate. Going to miss Richie stopping by for breakfast at 6 am before practice. Wish the family well and to let them know he was loved by all that knew him at Temple. All our prayer go out to all his friends and family.

Richie, your were my favorite person to be around on the Margate team - you were an awesome guy. I will never forget the time that a kid was stealing second and I threw the ball and hit you in the arm and left a huge bruise. Next time I throw someone out I'm keeping that ball for you. I'm going to miss you man.

All I can say is: No parent should have to bury their child. My prayers and thoughts are with you. May his soul and spirit truly rest in Peace! God Bless You All!

Ritchie was a tremedous young man who affected many in his much too short life. Always genial, pleasant and warm. He would always voluteer to babysit for our handicapped child whenever me and my wife would need a short respite. Ritchie would interact with him and gave him his full attention, often eager to tell us when we came home what he was able to get our son to accomplish. His heart was pure and full with unbounded enthusiasm and consideration when it came to kids...and life!

We here in our community of Brigantine will have heavy hearts for some time, but we will never forget Ritchie's exemplary soul and spirit.

To Rich, Sherry, his brother and sisters, our family shares your grief and loss. Our thoughts and love to you. ~ Ken, Ada, Derek and Sara Krebs

Please know that the St. Cloud River Bats family shares the loss of such a fine young man and ballplayer with the Temple community. His presence here was a gift to our team, staff and our fans, especially the kids. He shared his love of life and baseball with many during the brief time God gave us with him. Rich, Sherry, Brianna, Monica, Hannah and Harrison - you remain in my heart and prayers.

Hugs, Della Oyen

I've known Richie for almost 13 years and I was his little league baseball coach. I've spent alot of time with Richie when he was younger throwing batting practice and catching for him when he pitched. I played golf with him and hung out with him to play mini golf on the Ocean City boardwalk. Richie will sorely be missed. He was a gifted young man with alot of potential. He had an infectious smile that would light up the room. He loved the game of baseball more then anybody i came in contact with. He would always challenge me in certain situations to b a better coach and always asked what is the batter going to do here. My thoughts and prayers go out to his family at this difficult time. He was my favorite baseball player and I was priviledged and honored to have had the oppurtunity to know him.

Richie was such a great friend of mine. My family moved into the house across the street from him in Brigantine about six years ago and our families have been close ever since. When it came time to start looking for a date for my Junior Prom in 2006 I didn't want to take anyone but Richie. I knew he would be a great date and we would have so much fun together. He said yes and the night of my Prom he and his family drove all the way up to Plymouth Meeting, my home town just so he could be my date. Even though he had baseball practice that day and a tournament the next morning he was still determined that we would have a great time. I look back on pictures now that he's gone and I can't believe it. I go to my shore house every weekend in the summer and it just isn't going to be the same anymore. When I look out my front window I won't see Richie playing with his younger brother and sister like he always loved doing. Richie will be missed by many and will remain in all of our hearts forever! We all love you Richie, watch over us down here. xoxo
