Men's Cross Country Places Fourth At Delaware

NEWARK, DE - Junior Adin Mickle finished 11th out of 69 runners to lead the Temple men's cross country team to a fourth place showing at the Delaware Invitational at White Clay Creek Park on Saturday. Mickle covered the 8k course in a time of 26:58.
Freshman Mike May was the second Owl to cross the finish line, placing 23rd in a time of 27:34. Freshmen Eric Conklin (25th, 27:44), Charles Goold (29th, 27:54) and Clarke Hunt (31st, 28:10) rounded out the Temple top five. Seven out of the top eight Owl finishers were freshmen.
Penn's Luke Grau won the individual race in a time of 26:22 to lead the Quakers to the team title with 31 points. Host Delaware (38 points) was second, followed by Hofstra (58), Temple (110), Delaware State (174), Coppin State (174) and Morgan State (189).
Temple is off next weekend before traveling to the Paul Short Invitational at Lehigh University on Friday, September 28.
