Mickle Paces Owls At Monmouth Season Opener

LINCROFT, NJ - Junior Adin Mickle finished fourth out of 69 runners to lead the Temple men's cross country team to a third place finish at the Monmouth Cross Country Kickoff on Saturday at Thompson Park. Mickle covered the 6k course in a time of 19:18.3 and led three Owls in the top 20.
Freshman Mike May (7th, 19:20.4) and classmate Eric Conlcein (16th, 19:48.8) also had strong showings for the Cherry and White. Sophomore Dan Rinehart (24th, 20:07.2) was fourth for Temple while three freshman - Clarke Hunt, Connor Morengo, and Ryan Feehry - finished 28th, 29th and 30th overall.
NYU won the team event with 40 points ahead of Albany (71), Temple (79), Monmouth (108), Wagner (118), Felician (131), Long Island (260) and Drew (315). Albany's Ricardo Estremera won the individual title in a time of 18:51.6.
The Owls return to action on Saturday at the Fordham Invitational at van Cortlandt Park.
