BETHLEHEM, PA - Temple ran against some of the region's best teams in one of the country's largest fields on Friday afternoon at the 34th annual Brooks Paul Short Invitational on the Goodman Campus of Lehigh University. The Owls, led by junior Adin Mickle and freshman Mike May, placed 34th in the field of 41 teams.

Mickle (116th) and May (117th) each covered the 8k course in a time of 26:01 to pace TU. Three freshmen rounded out the Owls' top five runners. Charles Goold was 160th (26:22), Eric Conklin was 204th (26:51) and Connor Marengo placed 235th (27:33).

Villanova's Bobby Curtis set a new course record (23:39) to win the individual title and lead the Wildcats to their second straight victory in the men's college brown race. VU had 50 points to edge Syracuse (84), Princeton (92), Penn (187) and La Salle (188).

Temple returns to action next Friday at the Monmouth Invitational.
