College Park, Md.- Temple (3-6) struggled to find an offensive rhythm on Friday night, falling in three games to New Hampshire in game one of the Maryland Invitational. The Owls dropped games one and two with scores of 30-19. The Cherry and White just missed forcing a fourth set, losing game three, 30-27.
Ariel Pierre was the lone Owl to reach double figures in any category, dishing 11 assists. Caitlin Loudon contributed nine. Jacqueline Cowden and Yue Liu were only able to muster six kills a piece. Liu also had eight digs, though Sun Ying Ling led the squad with nine.
Temple returns for Day Two tomorrow, taking on James Madison at 1 p.m. and host Maryland at 7 p.m.
