Vitagliano Leads Temple Harriers At Fordham

BRONX, NY- Freshman Dante Vitagliano finished 85th out of 233 runners to lead the Temple men's cross country team to a 16th place finish at the Fordham Invitational on Saturday. Vitagliano covered the 8k course at Van Cortlandt Park in a time of 29:05 to pace six freshman that competed for the Owls.
Freshman Charles Goold was second for TU, finishing 95th in a time of 29:18. Classmate Caleb Betton was right on his heels in 96th (29:20) while freshmen George Blyler (149th, 31:09) and Alexander Barclay (159th, 31:28) wrapped up the fop five for the Cherry and White.
Penn won the team title with 42 points, edging Princeton (50) and Navy (54). Temple was the second A-10 team to cross the line behind host Fordham (10th) and ahead of St. Bonaventure (19th). NYIT's Kigen Evans won the individual title in a time of 26:03.74.
Temple heads to the Delaware Invitational on Saturday.
