Individual Game Tickets For Temple Basketball On Sale Monday

PHILADELPHIA - Individual game tickets for the 2008-09 Temple University men's and women's basketball teams go on sale Monday, November 3 at 10:00 a.m. at the Liacouras Center Box Office. Individual game tickets will also be available for purchase online at www.OwlsTix.com or by calling 1-800-298-4200.
Coming off its 2008 Atlantic 10 Conference championship season, the Temple men's team will host 11 games at the Liacouras Center with #13 Tennessee highlighting the home slate. Miami (OH) serves as the home opener for third-year head coach Fran Dunphy's Owls on December 3. That will also be the first of three doubleheaders with the Temple women's team, now under the direction of first-year head coach Tonya Cardoza.
The men's team will open its home portion of its A-10 schedule against Saint Louis on January 22 and conclude it with a game against city-rival Saint Joseph's on March 5.
The women's team, which has advanced to the NCAA Tournament the past five seasons, opens its season at the Liacouras Center against four-time MAC Champion Bowling Green on November 14. It is one of 13 home games for the Owls under their new coach, that is highlighted by a December 1 visit from perennial national power Rutgers.
In keeping with the men's basketball theme, "Five Months of Christmas", an All-America campaign for senior guard Dionte Christmas, Temple athletics will give out a quality prize at all 11 of its men's basketball home games this season.
Single-game tickets for Temple men's basketball games range from $10-35 while Owl women's games are from $5-7 per ticket.
