Yun Yi Zhang Named Owlsports.com Athlete Of The Month For September

PHILADELPHIA-After leading the Owls to an 8-5 record and an undefeated Atlantic 10 record in the month of September, junior volleyball player Yun Yi Zhang was named the Owlsports.com Athlete of the Month for September.
Zhang compiled a team-high 249 kills for a .326 hitting percentage throughout 12 matches. She also had 69 digs and 44 blocks. The junior outside hitter recorded double-digit kills in all but one match and had two double-doubles (kills and digs). Zhang garnered A-10 Player of the Week honors after leading Temple to wins over La Salle, Rhode Island and Fordham. She also earned spots on the Temple Invitational and UConn Tournament All-Tournament teams for stellar performances in TU wins over Fairfield, Cornell and Maine. Zhang leads the team and A-10 in kills and points.
