Kristin Howell Captures Epee Title To Highlight 29th Temple Open

PHILADELPHIA - Junior Kristin Howell captured first place in women's epee to highlight the Cherry and White's performance in the 29th annual Temple Open over the weekend from McGonigle Hall.
Along with Howell's outstandingperfromance, several other Owls earned top five finishes. In women's sabre, freshman Kamali Thompson tied for third place in only her second collegiate meet and sophomore Audrey Barroso tied for fifth. Junior Melissa Parker earned a fifth place finish in the women's foil, while sophomore Grace Wu took fifth in the epee.
In total, the Cherry and White had eight finalists at the Temple Open. Along with the top five finishers, sophomore Alyssa Lombardi (6th/epee), senior Kaitlyn Uckert (8th/Epee), and junior Christie Griffith also reached the finals.
The Owls return to action on Saturday, December 6th, when they travel to New York for the Vassar College Multi-Meet.
