Zhang's 22 Kills Leads Temple Volleyball, 3-0, Over Long Island

PHILADELPHIA- Junior Yun Yi Zhang earned a 53% hitting percentage, 22 kills and just three errors, to lead the Temple Owls to a 3-0 victory over Long Island (25-20, 25-16, 25-21) on Wednesday night. Zhang added seven digs and one block to help Temple improve to 14-11 overall. The Blackbirds fall to 16-14.
Jackie Morrison dished 37 assists to lead Temple, while Ariel Pierre had 16 digs. Cayleigh Ashman posted strong net play, earning six blocks to help the Owls earn a 8.5-1 block differential.
Temple next travels to Charlotte on November 14 at 7 p.m.
