West, Fries Shine For Owls At Princeton Invitational

PRINCETON, NJ - Sophomore Grant West bettered his school record in the hammer throw and improved his already IC4A qualifying mark with a distance of 180-11 as the Temple men's track team competed at the Princeton Invitational on Saturday. Senior Andrew Fries also had an IC4A distance of 190-10 to finish third in the javelin.
Sophomore Tim Boeni placed third in the high jump (6-2) and freshman Miles Dryden was eighth in the long jump (21-11 1/2) to wrap up the top performances in the field events.
Sophomore Brad McFadden was tenth in the 400m hurdles (54.03), as was junior Adin Mickle in the 1500m (4:07.00). Sophomore David Stonfer was 14th in the 400m (49.61) and 22nd in the 200m (22.47).
Temple will compete in the Penn Relays beginning on Thursday.
