Women's Crew Announces Four For 2008-2009

PHILADELPHIA - Temple women's crew head coach Tim Hagan has announced the signing of four incoming freshmen for the Class of 2013. The newest Owls are Allison Boc, Megan Hanlin, Dana Meadows and Amy Shrader.

"We're excited that they chose Temple and they are excited to be coming here," said Hagan, who will be entering his 5th season in 2008-2009. "We look forward to them making an immediate impact on the team."

Boc, a native of Cherry Hill, N.J., was a four year member of the Camden Catholic High School rowing team. While at Camden Catholic, Boc was in Varisty 8 as a sophomore and junior and Varsity 4 as a senior.

Hanlin, a native of Somer Point, N.J., won gold in the Junior Varsity 8 for Mainland Regional High School at the prestigious Stotesbury Cup in 2007. She was also a member of the school's undefeated Varsity 8 in 2006. She is currently a member of Varsity 8.

Meadows, a native of Hayes, VA, captured gold at the Stotesbury Cup in the Junior Varsity 4 while rowing for Gloucester High School. She also won silver in the Junior Varsity 4 at the SRA Nationals in 2007. She currently a member of Varsity 4.

Shrader, a native Seaville, N.J., won a silver medal for Ocean City High School at the Stotesbury Cup in the Senior 4 and third at the SRA Nationals. She is currently in the Varsity 4.
