Mahoney, May Shine Once Again For Cross Country at Monmouth Invitational

HOLMDEL, NJ - For the second consecutive week, freshman Travis Mahoney and sophomore Michael May were the top finishers for the Temple men's cross country, helping the Owls to a third place finish at the Monmouth Cross Country Invitational on Friday afternoon. This marks the second consecutive meet that both Mahoney and May have both finished in the top five.
Mahoney, coming off a first place finish at the Monmouth XC Kickoff two weeks prior, finished third with a time of 26:39. Finishing just one second behind Mahoney was teammate May, who finished fourth with a time of 26:40. As a team, the Cherry and White came in third (82) amongst nine team, trailing only Quinnipiac (43) and Rutgers (81).
Also finishing in the top 40 for the Cherry and White were sophomore Clarke Hunt (#17/27:37), sophomore Eric Conklin (#27/27:54), freshman Adam Staricha (#31/28:11), sophomore Ryan Feehery (#34/28:21) and sophomore Connor Marengo (#39/28:33)
The Owls return to action on Friday, October 3rd to compete in the Paul Short Invitational from Bethlehem, PA.
