Fencing ranked No. 8 in first NCAA poll

PHILADELPHIA - After a 4-1 start to the season, the Temple women's fencing team is ranked No. 8 in the first NCAA poll of the season.
This weekend, the Owls to enter the heart of dual-meet season with the Princeton Multi-Meet, where they will be fencing some of the nation's other elite teams, including No. 1 Penn State, No. 7 Princeton, No. 9 Penn, and No. 10 Duke.
This is the first of three polls for the 2009 Season. The second will appear around President's Day; the third and final poll will appear after the NCAA Regional Qualifiers, in the first week of March.
