Temple Baseball Cherry & White Fall Classic Begins Today

First pitch slated for 3:15 p.m. Friday, 9:40 a.m. Saturday
Ambler, PA – The Temple baseball team wraps up fall practice this weekend with their annual Cherry & White Fall Classic. The Owls, divided into two teams, will compete in two days' worth of intrasquad scrimmaging on the diamond at Skip Wilson Field.
First pitch is expected for 3:15 p.m. on Friday, October 23, and 9:40 a.m. on Saturday, October 24. The ceremonial first pitch on Friday will be thrown by longtime Temple baseball supporters Wister and Harriet Baisch, with Saturday's pitch being tossed by Temple Athletics Compliance & Student Services Coordinator Jen Sekellick.
Team Cherry, managed by senior Ryan Thomas, will be throwing redshirt-senior Matt Mongiardini at Team White. In turn, White's manager Matt Elko sends sophomore Tyler Horst to the mound to start things off.
Rotations for team Cherry will consist of Mongiardini, junior Ben White, and senior Mike Click. For team White, Horst will throw games one and three, while senior Kyle Monahan pitches games two and five, freshman James Powers gets the nod in games four and six, and newcomer Rob Feeley will throw game seven.
