Volleyball Venue Change; Owls Will face Dayton at La Salle on Sunday

Match set for 3:00 p.m. in Tom Gola Arena after La Salle vs. Xavier at 1:00 p.m.
PHILADELPHIA - Due to scheduling conflicts in Temple's athletic facilities, the Owls' volleyball match versus Dayton on Sunday, Nov. 1, has now been moved to La Salle University's Tom Gola Arena. The match will now be played at 3:00 p.m., instead of the originally scheduled time of 1:00 p.m.
Fans can catch a doubleheader due to the change, as La Salle will play host to Xavier at 1:00 p.m.
The Owls currently stand in a tie for third in the Atlantic 10 with Xavier, at 6-3. Temple won four straight before suffering a recent 3-1 loss to #24 Saint Louis, the second-place team in the A-10.
Outside hitter Yun Yi Zhang is proving her status as a strong candidate for postseason awards with every match she plays. Zhang has already earned A-10 Offensive Player of the Week honors once this season, and is currently second among all players in NCAA Division I with 5.25 kills per set.
Senior setter Jackie Morrison has tallied six straight assist-dig double-doubles, and ranks fourth in the A-10 in assists per set at 9.52.
Dayton, the defending champs of the A-10, look to be well on their way to repeating that success, as the Flyers currently stand undefeated in conference play at 9-0. The only two losses Dayton has suffered this year came back-to-back against #6 Michigan and Marquette at a Michigan tournament in the middle of September.
Dayton is the top team receiving votes in the national poll, effectively ranking the Flyers 26th.
All-American middle blocker Lindsay Fletemier leads the conference with a .394 hitting percentage and averages a league-leading 1.32 blocks per set. Fletemier is the reigning A-10 Offensive Player of the Week, an honor she has earned four times, in addition to earning Defensive Player of the Week honors twice.
