Former Temple Baseball Star Arshwin Asjes Signs With Cincinnati Reds

Asjes notches free agent contract with club
PHILADELPHIA – Former Temple baseball pitcher Arshwin Asjes recently inked a free agent contract with the Cincinnati Reds.
“Everyone here at Temple is very proud of Arshwin,” commented head coach Rob Valli. “The recurring theme of his career has been his ability to work had and create opportunities for himself. I would not be surprised to see him pitch in the big leagues one day.”
Throwing for the Midwest Sliders of the Frontier League this past season, Asjes notched 12 saves in 33 appearances, posting a 36-to-14 strikeout to walk ratio.
