Series Record
This is the 66th meeting between Temple and Saint Joseph's. Saint Joe's leads the series, 39-27 but the Owls have won 12 of the last 13 meetings. The teams last played on January 11, 2009, when the Owls defeated the Hawks,58-53.

Scouting the Owls
Shenita Landry led three players in double figures with her 12th career double-double but could not offset a 33.3% shooting percentage, as Temple fell, 71-60, to Massachusetts on Wednesday. Landry had a career-high 19 points and 11 rebounds, while Shaqwedia Wallace posted 13 points, 11 in the first half. Shanea Cotton chipped in with 12 points, 10 of which came in the second half. LaKeisha Eaddy dished a game-high seven assists and had seven rebounds. Temple got off to a slow start to begin the game and though it entered halftime with a one-point lead, the Owls had their worst shooting performance of the season, making just 23.5% of their shots. UMass provided the Cherry and White with 13 free throw opportunities but the visitors didn't do much better there, sinking just seven. Landry and Wallace were nearly unstoppable, combining for 19 of TU's 26 first stanza points. The Owls shot a bit better in the second half but not enough to overtake the hot-shooting Minutewomen.

Landry leads four Owls in double figures with 12.4 ppg and a team-high 9.7 rpg, while Wallace is second with 11.9 ppg. Cotton is third with 11 ppg and Eaddy is fourth with 10.9 and has dished a team-high 124 assists.

Scouting the Hawks
Saint Joseph's topped La Salle, 59-42, Wednesday to earn a share of the City Series Crown, a title it shares with Temple. The Hawks held a double-digit lead for a majority of the first stanza and took a 35-23 lead into halftime. In the second half, Saint Joseph's gave up a basket to the Explorers to start, but opened up a 19-point edge, 46-27. Ashley Logue and Jenna Loschiavo each tallied 15 points apiece, while Michelle Baker tied her career high with 12 points.

Brittany Ford leads the Hawks in scoring and rebounding, averaging 13 ppg and 5.2 rpg. Mariame Djouara is second with 11.2 ppg.
