HOBOKEN, N.J. - The Temple women's fencing finished the 2008-2009 duel meet season in style, finishing 4-0 at the Steven's Tech Multi-Meet on Sunday afternoon. The four victories extended the team's winning streak to 10 meets. The day was capped off by a 27-0 win over Hunter College led by seniors Kaitlyn Uckert, Sabrina Shapiro, and Kristine Jones, all going undefeated in the final dual meet of their collegiate careers.
"It was good to see all three of our seniors finish their last meet fencing so well," said assistant coach Bradley
Baker. "We still have postseason play to go, where we'll be looking for continued contributions from the trio," he
continued.
The Owls kicked off the day with a 24-3 victory over host Steven's Tech. Foil and sabre each posted 9-0 shutouts in
the win.
The Cherry and White next faced off against Brandeis University in the toughest match of the day. All three
