Kyle Obal Named Big Five Player Of The Week

PHILADELPHIA - Senior Kyle Obal, who batted .533 in four games last week, has been named the Philadelphia Big Five Player of the Week, in voting conducted by the city's head coaches and sports information offices. He is the fourth Owl in the last five weeks to earn the award. Penn's Chris McNulty received the Pitcher of the Week award.

Obal hit safely in all four games last week. He drove in three runs and scored two. The catcher also added two doubles.

A Derwood, MD native, Obal is batting .317 with 11 doubles and a career-high 35 RBI this season.

Temple (14-20) hosts city rival Villanova on Tuesday at 3 PM at Skip Wilson Field.
