PHILADELPHIA - A pair of Temple baseball players, junior Ryan Ferguson and sophomore Foster Dunigan, have been named to their summer league all-star teams. Ferguson was one of three Elmira Pioneers named to the New York Collegiate Baseball League All-Star game, while Dunigan was named to the Clark Griffith League All-Star team as a member of the DC Grays.

Ferguson is batting a team-high .344 for Elmira and also leads the team in doubles (seven), RBI (11) , total bases (32), slugging percentage (.500) and on-base percentage (.449). He ranks fifth in the league in doubles and eighth in batting. The NYCBL All-Star game is slated for Tuesday, July 14 at Shuttleworth Park, home of the Amsterdam Mohawks.

The Glen Mills, PA native batted .333 (9-for-27) in 13 games this spring for Temple after walking onto the team during fall tryouts. He had four doubles and a home run for a .593 slugging percentage.

Dunigan is batting a league-best .349 for the DC Grays and played in the league's all-star game on July 5 against the Maryland Collegiate Baseball League All-Stars. He had two at-bats and played shortstop for the CGL team, which captured a 10-6 victory. Dunigan leads the CGL in hits (29) and is also second in runs (19) and fourth in doubles (five).

A Great Falls, VA product, Dunigan batted .391 (9-for-23) in 16 games as a freshman infielder for TU. He stepped in admirably for an injured Carmen Del Mastro late in the season, batting .500 (9-for-18) during a seven-game stretch in April.
