Men's Golf Places 11th At Navy Fall Golf Classic

Eric Plisko leads Owls with 74

ANNAPOLIS, MD - The Temple men's golf team had five of its players match or record better scores on the second day of the Navy Fall Golf Classic held at the Naval Academy Golf Club. The Owls finished the two-day invitational Sunday in 11th place out of 17 teams with a score of 603. Northwestern (552) won the tournament, carding an impressive 14 under par on the final day to easily overtake host Navy (566).

Senior Eric Plisko again led the Cherry and White with 74. His two-day total of 148 placed him a team-high 30th in the field of 91 golfers in the field. Junior Andrew Mason carded a 74 to place 44th with a two-day total of 150. Redshirt freshman Devin Bibeau added a 75 to finish one-stroke behind Mason in 51st place with a 151. Junior Joseph Kim (78-76, 154) and freshman Alex McPherson (89-81, 170) rounded out the Owls squad with 65th and 87th place showings, respectively.

The Owls return to the links this Friday at the McLaughlin Invitational hosted by St. John's.
