2010 squad prepares for upcoming season at Ambler

PHILADELPHIA – Head coach Rob Valli, entering his fifth season at the helm, has announced that the 2010 Temple baseball team has commenced fall practice in preparation for their upcoming season.

“Our team is off to a great start,” commented Valli. “The veterans returned healthy and in great shape, and the nine rookies have all demonstrated the potential to impact our lineup right away.”

Fall practice is a critical period for any team, and the Owls look to take full advantage of their time on the field.

“The 45-day fall season is a time for players to develop their individual skills while learning to play as a team,” said Valli. “It is very similar to spring training for professional players. We have several players that can contribute at multiple positions, and their performance will allow us to better define their role on the team.”
