Temple Fencing Ranked Seventh In First National Poll

Owls continue action this weekend at Penn State Multi-Meet

PHILADELPHIA – After a 4-1 start to the season, the Temple women's fencing team is ranked seventh in the nation, in voting conducted by the USFCA coaches.

“I am very pleased with the ranking,” said Hall of Fame head coach Nikki Franke. “It reflects not only the team's hard work, but also the improvement we have made this year.”

This Saturday, the Owls head to State College, Pa. to compete in the Penn State Multi-meet. Gearing up for dual-meet competition, they look to continue their success and again face off with cross-town rival eighth-ranked Penn. Temple will also go up against North Carolina, who received votes the poll, and Haverford.
