Second Annual First Pitch Reception Set For February 12
1.8.10 | Baseball
PHILADELPHIA – The Temple Owl Club, in conjunction with the Temple baseball program, is excited to announce the second annual First Pitch Reception set for Friday, February 12 at the McFadden's located at Citizen's Bank Park in south Philadelphia. A cocktail reception will begin at 6:00 p.m., followed by an appetizer/dinner buffet at 6:30 and a program at 7:00 p.m.
A guest speaker is expected to be announced shortly, and a limited silent auction of baseball memorabilia and experiences will be featured at the reception.
“The First Pitch Reception is an ideal way for the Temple Baseball family – players and parents, alumni and friends – to gather before we embark upon the 2010 season,” said Owls' head coach Rob Valli. “I especially invite our baseball alumni to this gathering. It is imperative that we attract the participation of our former Owls; please know that you are always welcome and still a part of our team.”
The cost for the event is $25 ($15 for children under 12) and includes the food buffet, complimentary non-alcoholic beverages and a first drink ticket. Online registration for this event is encouraged and available via www.myowlspace.com/firstpitch2010. Registration is required and must be received by February 7.
Player and coach sponsorships are also available for just $25 or a group of 10 for $250. All donors will receive Owl Club credit to be applied towards annual giving records.
Please contact Events & Projects Coordinator Dan Gale at the Temple Owl Club at 215-204-2587 or dgale@temple.edu with any questions.
Temple opens the 2010 season on Friday, Feb. 19 at Florida Gulf Coast in Fort Myers, FL at 6:30 p.m. as part of a weekend series. FCGU is ranked No. 38 in the Baseball America NCAA Division I pre-season poll.
