Men's Crew Has a Successful Weekend

Owls split their squad to compete at Head of Schuylkill and Princeton Chase
PHILADELPHIA - The Temple University Men's Crew program had a very successful weekend on the river. Rowing a split squad the Owls competed in the Head of the Schuylkill on Saturday (Oct. 30) and the Princeton 3-Mile Chase on Sunday (Oct. 31).
On Saturday the Men's Open 4 placed 9th out of 28 crews. On Sunday the Men's Varsity 8 finished in 16th place and the JV8 finished 30th (out of 40). The V8 lost to Princeton, Syracuse, Cornell, Boston U and Georgetown while besting Trinity, Holy Cross, and Rutgers among others.
The men's varsity four then broke up into fours and finished 14th and 32nd out of 48, respectively.
Temple closes out the fall portion of its schedule in two weeks, competing at the Frostbite Regatta (Nov. 13) and the Braxton Regatta (Nov. 14). Both races will be held on the Schuylkill River.
