Owls get perfect California weather for another day

LOS ANGELES - Although the trip took a hit with Temple's loss at Pepperdine today, the women's basketball team still benefited from another beautiful day in southern California. The back-to-back trips to Pepperdine for shootaround and the game provided breathtaking views for everyone.
The team boarded the bus at 7:15 a.m. for its 8:00 a.m. shootaround at Pepperdine's gym, the Firestone Fieldhouse. The drive gave everyone their first amazing views of the Pacific Ocean, and Pepperdine's campus in Malibu does not disappoint.

After pregame in the hotel, a breakfast spread complete with fresh fruit unlike any found back East this time of year, the team once again boarded the bus for Malibu.
Pepperdine's mascot, Willie the Wave, was definitely one of the more entertaining and coolest-looking ones I've come across.
The game was a nail-biter in the final minute, but was ultimately won by the Waves.
The Owls will head to UCLA early tomorrow morning for practice, and then have study hall followed by free time in the afternoon.
Temple will face #13/13 UCLA on Sunday at 2:00 p.m. (PST).
