Lomuscio takes 26th in foil, Thompson 12th in sabre
ATLANTA, Ga. - Fencing in their final competition of 2010, senior Alyssa Lomuscio and junior Kamali Thompson fared well in the North American Cup December, held at the Georgia World Congress Hall in Atlanta, Ga. The pair are fencing to earn points toward their U.S. Fencing ranking, and have one more U.S. Fencing competition left this season.
Lomuscio, a New Jersey native, battled her way to a 26th place finish in Division I women's foil. The event was won by Lee Kiefer of Kentucky.
Thompson, fresh off of a fantastic showing at the Junior World Cup in Germany, represented Philadelphia and fought her way to a 12th place finish in Division I women's sabre. Ibtihej Muhammed of New Jersey won the title.
The Owls return after the semester break to host the annual Alumnae Meet in McGonigle Hall on January 9.
