Owls' senior topped his own school record, placing first at Penn State National Invitational

NEWPORT NEWS, Va. – Announced by the league today, Temple men's track and field senior thrower Bryce Buffaloe has been named Atlantic 10 Men's Track & Field Performer of the Week, for the week ending February 1.

Buffaloe (New Haven, Conn./Berlin) trumped his school record in the weight throw, nearly meeting NCAA provisional marks with a toss of 63-10.50 at the Penn State National Invitational. The senior placed first in the event and met IC4A qualifying standards. The meet featured several top national contenders from the east coast, including Tennessee, Miami (Fla.), and Virginia Tech.

Competition for the Owls continues as the squad splits to compete at either the New Balance Collegiate Invitational (Feb. 5-6) or the Haverford Duals (Feb. 6).
