Temple Men's Tennis Drops 7-0 Decision at Virginia Commonwealth

Owls fall to 1-3 on the year
RICHMOND, Va. – The Temple men's tennis team traveled to Virginia Commonwealth on Friday, February 12, to take on the Rams at Thalhimer Tennis Center. The Owls were defeated 7-0 by the host team, dropping their record to 1-3 overall.
Thibaut Charron and Tim Johannsen got things started with a 8-4 win at first doubles over brothers Filip and Kacper Rams. At second doubles, Matt King and Andrey Morozov dropped an 8-4 decision to the freshmen duo of Krisztin Krocsko and Camil Salomon, securing the doubles point for VCU. Temple's Mansur Gishkaev and and Dmitry Vizhunov were the lone winners for the Owls on the day, defeating Filip Svensson and C.J. Williams, 8-6.
The Rams were all business in singles play, winning all six matches in straight sets.
The Cherry and White return to the courts on Saturday in a 5 p.m. match-up at Old Dominion.
