Women's Gymnastics Wraps Up Regular Season With 190.650 At William & Mary

PHILADELPHIA – Senior Nina Oteri captured a first place finish on balance beam and floor to help lead the Temple women's gymnastics team to a team total of 190.650 against William & Mary, Sunday afternoon.
The Owls, competing in their final meet before ECAC's, were slightly edged in the final team total, with the Tribe posting a final team score of 191.775.
Oteri scored 9.725 on beam, tying with teammate Corrine Williams for first place. Junior Katie Canning finished right behind the two, scoring 9.650 for third place.
On floor, Oteri's top score of 9.800 was matched by William & Mary's Teenie Beck.
Canning and teammate Kaity Watson tied for second on vault, each posting an average of 9.750.
Junior Chelsea Troutman was the Owls' top finisher on uneven bars, scoring 9.475 for fifth place.
Freshman Jean Alban continues to thrive for TU all-around, scoring 37.850 combined for a second place finish.
The Temple women's gymnastics team returns home to host the 2010 ECAC Championships, held March 27 at 12:00 p.m. The Owls will also be celebrating Alumni Homecoming.
