Howell leads with day one finish of eighth in women's epee

BOSTON, Mass.
– Fencing the top collegiate competition in the nation, the ninth-ranked Temple women's fencing team is holding onto ninth place amongst women's teams in the first day of competition at the NCAA Championships.

“The competition is very strong, and we have to continue to keep battling,” said head coach Nikki Franke. “Our girls are holding their own and working very hard, and will come back tomorrow and start all over again.”
