BALTIMORE, Md. - For his stellar summer season for the Baltimore Redbirds of the Cal Ripken Collegiate Baseball League, Temple baseball redshirt-sophomore Steve Visnic earned honorable mention all-league honors. Visnic led the Redbirds with a record of 5-1, owning the team's third-lowest earned run average of 1.03.
Visnic, a native of Glenwood, Md. (Glenelg), ranked tied for second in the league with five wins. He logged 26.1 innings pitched while holding opposing hitters to a mere .206 batting average. Last season with the Owls, Visnic logged a school-record 28 appearances.
