Temple Crew Dominates at Frostbite Regatta

CAMDEN, N.J. - Temple men's crew met success at the Frostbite Regatta held Saturday November 12th on the Cooper River. Temple had two first place finishes and one second place finish in the regatta.
The Owls' Varsity 8+, comprised of Don Norris (coxswain), Jimmy Barr (stoke), Aaron Heyde (seat-7), Mike Mirabella (seat-6), Brian Reehill (seat-5), Fergal Barry (seat-4), Joe Bellesheim (seat-3), Kevin Nally (seat-2), and Brandon Joyce (bow), placed first with a time of 6:02.17
TU's Junior Varsity 8+, comprised of Djordje Vilimanovic (stroke), Petar Ivacic (seat-7), John Boehm (seat-6), Mike Vanassche (seat-5), Majiec Grudzien (seat-4), Alex Klein (seat-3), Trey Ehmer (seat-2) and Pat Woodruf (bow), finished second with a time of 6:25.37. Drexel A won the event with a time of 6:19.02.
Temple's Freshmen/Novice 8+, comprised of Matt Ciarella (coxswain), Connor Murphy (stroke), Vince Dipentino (seat-7), Matt Sorg (seat-6), Perry Cox (seat-5), Josh Kuzo (seat-4), Pat Woodruff (seat-3), Darren McIlvaine (seat-2), and Ryan Pavelka (bow), won with a time of 6:38.35.
Temple's Men's Crew continues its fall season at the Braxton Regatta on November 13th at 8:00 A.M.
