Temple Wraps Up Fall Season With Impressive Performance at the Braxton Memorial Regatta

CAMDEN, N.J.- The Temple Men's Crew team wrapped up its fall season at the Bill Braxton Memorial Regatta on the Cooper River in Camden, N.J. The event, which took place on Sunday November 13th, began at 8:00 A.M. The Owls placed first in V8+, JV8+ and Frosh/Novice races.
TU's Varsity 8+, comprised of Don Norris (coxswain), Jimmy Barr (stroke), Aaron Heyde (seat-7), Mike Mirabella (seat-6), Brian Reehill (seat-5), Fergal Barry (seat-4), Joe Bellesheim (seat-3), Kevin Nally (seat-2), Brandon Joyce (bow), placed first with a time of 6:09.17.
Temple's Junior Varsity 8+, comprised of Djordje Vilimanovic (stroke), Petar Ivacic (seat-7), John Boehm (seat-6), Mike Vanassche (seat-5), Majiec Grudzien (seat-4), Alex Klein (seat-3), Trey Ehmer (seat-2) and Pat Woodruff (bow), placed first with a time of 6:33.19
The Owls Frosh/Novice 8+, comprised of Matt Ciarella (coxswain), Connor Murphy (stroke), Vince Dipentino (seat-7), Matt Sorg (seat-6), Perry Cox (seat-5), Josh Kuzo (seat-4), Pat Woodruff (seat-3), Darren McIlvaine (seat-2) and Ryan Pavelka (bow), placed first with a time of 6:30.31
The Braxton Regatta concludes the Owls' fall season. When asked on his thoughts of this event and the team thus far head coach Gavin White stated this win “sets us up nicely for the spring. We have the best team chemistry in years. The spring holds our most potential in several years.”
The Owls will be back in action March 10th, when they head to Felsmere, FL for the Keuper Cup
