Game against Falcons is first of three against MAC opponents

BOWLING GREEN, OHIO -
The Temple men's basketball team opens a three-game stretch against Mid-American Conference foes when the Owls (3-1) travel to Bowling Green (3-2) for a Sunday afternoon game at the Stroh Center (2:00 p.m./1210 AM WPHT.  Temple has won 12 straight games against MAC opponents dating back to December 2008 and has posted a 17-5 mark against the conference since the 2006-07 season.

Senior guard Ramone Moore, the co-Player of the Week in the Philadelphia Big 5, leads head coach Fran Dunphy's Owls with a 20.0 scoring average.  The Philadelphia native has led Temple in scoring in three of four games, and earned all-Tournament honors at the 5-hour Energy Puerto Rico Tip-Off. Moore's backcourt mate, senior Juan Fernandez, tops TU in assists (16) while scoring at a 15.0 rate. 

Graduate student forward Micheal Eric leads the Atlantic 10 Conference in rebounding (11.3 rpg,) while averaging 10.5 points per game.  Junior guard Khalif Wyatt (12.0 ppg.) is third in the league in steals (2.7 spg.) while junior forward Rahlir Hollis-Jefferson (9.0 ppg.) rounds out the starting five.
 
Bowling Green, under the direction of sixth-year head coach Louis Orr, is off to a 3-2 start after hosting the Progressive College Basketball Experience Classic this week.  This will be the Falcons' fifth game in their brand-new arena, The Stroh Center.
  
Senior forward Scott Thomas leads Falcons, averaging team-bests of 12.4 points, 6.2 rebounds and 2.2 steals per game.  Senior guard Dee Brown (10.8 ppg., 3.0 apg.) is the only other BGSU?player scoring in double figures as the Falcons' balanced attack features five players averaging over eight points. 

Temple has won all three meetings in the series with the last, a 63-39 decision at McGonigle Hall in Philadelphia.
