PHILADELPHIA
- The Temple men's track & field team will be aiming high as the Owls travel to Kingston, R.I., for the 2011 Atlantic 10 Indoor Championships.  Temple, who tied a school-best third place finish a year ago, have several athletes who own season-bests that rank in the top of the conference.

Senior Bob Keogh leads the Owls and the conference in the weight throw.  The lone Temple athlete to hold a top mark in the conference, Keogh's season-best of 63-00.00 set at the Penn State Open is over two-feet further than that of the next best mark.

Also excelling in the field, freshman Gabe Pickett has done a tremendous job of holding down the triple jump for Temple.  Ranking second in the conference, Picket leads the Owls with a season-best leap of 47-07.00.  Another Owl, senior Miles Dryden, rankes second in the confernce in the long jump (23-00.75).  Junior Tim Malloy has filled in on the high jump for Temple, ranking third in the conference with a season-best of 6-07.00.

Senior Emmanual Freeland looks to turn in a memorable performance at the A-10's.  Freeland ranks third in both the 60m and 200m dashes, owning the second-fastest time in the conference in the 55m dash (6.50).  Classmate Lou Parisi leads Temple in the mid-distance events, ranking fourth in both the 500m and 800m run.

The Owls' distance medley relay leads the league with a school-record top time of 9:57.58.  The squad, comprised of junior Travis Mahoney, freshman Alex McGee, seniors Aaron Taylor and Eddie Penetar, shattered the Temple record in the event at the Penn State National Open.

The championships will be split between two days, with action starting at 9:00am on Friday. Complete results and live stats will be available online through the A-10 website (www.atlantic10.com).
