LONG BRANCH, N.J.
- Six Owls took first place finishes as the Temple men's track & field team competed at the Monmouth Invitational on Saturday.  Senior Bob Keogh was the lone Owl to grab IC4A marks, placing first in the weight throw.

Keogh went 59-04.00 to take top honors in the event, with junior Brian Littlepage taking sixth with a heave of 45-01.50.  Also in the field, junior Gabe Pickett nabbed a first place finish with a leap of 46-04.00 in the triple jump.

Temple finished one-two in the 3000m run, with junior Thomas Thomas placing first (8:56.02) and freshman Philip Fanz placing second (9:15.71).  The Owls dominated the mid-distance events, with first place finishes in the 400m, 500m and 800m.

Senior Lou Parisi took the 400m dash in a time of 50.21, while classmate Aaron Taylor won the 500m (1:06.28) and junior Travis Mahoney won the 800m (1:58.07).

The Owls also had a pair of second place finishes in the 200m and 60m dash.  Freshman Alex McGee placed second in the 200m with a time of 22.97, nearly missing IC4A marks.  Senior Emmanual Freeland placed runner-up in the 60m dash, turning in a time of 7.06.

Temple now has a weekend off to prepare for the 2011 Atlantic 10 Indoor Championships, held February 18-19 at the University of Rhode Island.
