Peddy averaged 22.5 points per game in helping lead the Owls to their ninth and 10th straight wins

NEWPORT NEWS, Va. – Temple's Shey Peddy and Dayton's Justine Raterman have been named the Atlantic 10 Conference Women's Basketball Co-Players of the Week, announced by the league office on Monday. The honor is the second straight for Peddy, who was the sole recipient a week ago, and she is also this week's co-Philadelphia Big 5 Player of the Week along with Penn's Alyssa Baron.

Peddy picks up her second-straight award (both A-10 and Big 5) after averaging 22.5 points, 8.5 rebounds and 3.5 assists in a pair of wins for Temple last week. Peddy shot 8-of-10 from the field including 2-of-2 behind the arc to finish with 19 points in an 82-48 win versus Saint Louis on Feb. 2.

She also recorded three assists, two blocks and two steals against the Billikens. The Roxbury, Mass., native led all players with a season-high 26 points on 10-of-22 shooting from the field in a 61-52 win at Duquesne on Feb. 5.

Peddy was 3-of-6 from three-point range and 3-of-3 at the free throw line at Duquesne. She nearly notched a double-double with a game-high nine rebounds and also led Temple with four assists and three steals. For the week, Peddy shot 56 percent from the field, 62.5 percent from behind the arc and was a perfect 4-of-4 at the line.

Raterman paced Dayton to a 1-1 week, including an 87-80 overtime win at St. Bonaventure on Feb. 2 and a near upset of No. 7/7 Xavier on Feb. 5. The junior forward recorded her third double-double of the year with 27 points and 10 rebounds against the Bonnies, and scored a game-high 25 points in the Flyers' heartbreaking 70-66 extra-session loss to the Musketeers. For the week, Raterman averaged 26.0 points and 8.5 rebounds, while shooting 63 percent (22-35) from the floor.
