Adrian Perez Named Atlantic 10 and Philadelphia Big 5 Baseball Player of the Week

Owls' senior shortstop batted .478 over a 5-0 week for Temple
PHILADELPHIA - Announced by the leagues today, Temple baseball senior Adrian Perez has been named Atlantic 10 and Philadelphia Big 5 Player of the Week. Perez, also named Owlsports.com Player of the Week, helped lead the Owls to a perfect 5-0 week batting .478 on 11 hits, including five for extra bases.
The senior shortstop went 11-23 at the plate, scoring six runs and registering 10 RBI, while collecting four doubles and a triple. He recorded three multi-RBI and four multi-hit games, exploding for five RBI in the Owls' win over Maryland Eastern Shore.
The Woodland, Calif., native ripped two doubles in the team's win over Mount St. Mary's, driving in two runs and scoring twice. After committing an error in the first game of the week at Delaware State, Perez played it perfect in the field making seven putouts.
Temple (8-5), riding a five-game win streak, hosts Penn tomorrow at Skip Wilson Field (3:00 p.m.).
