Owls' senior shortstop already named A-10, Big 5 and Owlsports.com Player of the Week

PHILADELPHIA - Temple baseball senior shortstop Adrian Perez can add another weekly award to the trio he already picked up this week, being named CollegeBaseballInsider.com Northeast Player of the Week. Perez had already been selected as the Atlantic 10, Philadelphia Big 5 and Owlsports.com Player of the Week.

Perez, a native of Woodland, Calif., went 11 for 23 (.478) over a 5-0 week for the Owls with four doubles, one triple, six runs scored and 10 RBI. He had four multi-hit games and three multi-RBI contests, including a five-RBI day against Maryland Eastern Shore. Perez also exploded for two doubles, two runs and two RBI in the Owls' win over Maryland Eastern Shore.

Temple is in action this weekend, hosting a trio of teams at Skip Wilson Field. The Owls kick off the three-game homestand with Fairfield on Friday, March 18 at 3:00 p.m.
