Lacrosse in Florida for Spring Break; Owls Will Face Jacksonville and #14 Florida

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - For the second straight year, the Temple lacrosse team headed down to Florida for Spring Break where the Owls will train and face two opponents before coming back to Philadelphia. Fans can follow Temple Lacrosse on Twitter and Twitpic as the team documents some of its adventures down South.
On Wednesday, March 9, Temple will face Jacksonville at 7:00 p.m. The Dolphis are hosting a doubleheader, with the men's team playing Robert Morris at 3:30 p.m. The Jacksonville women's team is 3-3 overall, while Temple is 1-2 so far this season.
After that contest, Temple will remain in the state and then face Florida at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 12. The Gators, currently ranked 14th in the nation, are coached by Temple lacrosse Hall of Famer Amanda (Mandee Moore) O'Leary ('88) who is in her fourth season with the program. Florida is 4-1 so far in 2011.
The Owls will continue their road swing with two more games closer to home in the next two weeks, at Delaware and Towson. Temple returns home against Lehigh on March 24.
