Owls' senior tied all-time hit record with six hits over weekend

PHILADELPHIA - Temple baseball senior outfielder Byron McKoy has been named Philadelphia Big 5 Player of the Week, for the week ending April 18.  McKoy, who hit .400 over three games last weekend, is now the third Owl to earn the weekly honor as Big 5 Player of the Week.

McKoy recorded six hits in the Owls' series with UMass to record his 234th career hit, now tied for the all-time lead in Temple history with Bob Filler (1998-2001).  The Charlotte, N.C., native also drove in four runs for the Owls.
