Men's Track & Field Highlights From Saturday At Penn Relays

Owls' 4x1 wins IC4A race, 4x2 places second
PHILADELPHIA - The Owls' 4x100m relay team won the IC4A Championship race in exciting fashion to highlight action for the Temple men's track & field team on Saturday the Penn Relays. Also in action was the 4x200m relay, which placed second in the IC4A Championship race they competed in.
The 4x100m relay, made up of senior Miles Dryden, sophomore Dylan Pensyl, freshman Alex McGee and senior Emmanual Freeland, won the IC4A race with a time of 41.29, edging out Connecticut (2nd, 41.31), Boston University (3rd, 41.32) and Morgan State (4th, 41.36).
The 4x200m relay, comprised of the same athletes, ran a time of 1:24.75 to place second in the IC4A Championship race.
In the field, freshman Gabe Pickett placed seventh in the triple jump with a mark of 48-04.50. In the javelin, senior Chris Durante took 15th with a mark of 188-10.
Up next for the Owls are the Atlantic 10 Championships, held May 7-8 at Charlotte.
