Men's Track & Field Standout Keogh Named to A-10 Academic All-Conference Team

Owls' senior thrower boasts 3.47 cumulative grade point average

NEWPORT NEWS, Va. - Announced by the conference today, senior Bob Keogh was honored as one of 10 student-athletes named to the 2011 Atlantic 10 Men's Outdoor Track & Field Academic All-Conference team. Keogh, who shattered the school record in the hammer throw this season, boasts a 3.47 cumulative grade point average as a management information systems major.

Keogh's senior season has been nothing short of stellar. The Willow Grove, Pa., native snapped the school record in the hammer throw with a season-best toss that ranks 24th in the nation (208-04). Winning gold in the hammer at the Atlantic 10 Championships, Keogh has placed first in the event a total of five times this season and will compete in the NCAA East Regional Championship (May 26-28).
