Temple wins two of three doubles, five of six singles matches
ANNAPOLIS, Md. – Filip Rams and Kacper Rams both picked up two wins on Saturday, September 10, teaming up to win at number one doubles and winning their respective singles bouts against Saint Bonaventure at the Navy Blue Invite. Also winning twice on the day were Mansur Gishkaev and Taylor Hairston
Filip Rams and Kacper Rams defeated Elliot Fanshell and Luis Guevara, 8-6, at first doubles. Gishkaev and Hairston picked up an 8-5 win at the second flight over Miguel Suarez and Oscar Yanez.
In singles play, Filip Rams picked up a 7-6 (7-4), 6-0 win at number one for his first victory of the fall. Kacper Rams followed suit with a 7-5, 6-4 decision at the second flight. Gishkaev was a straight-set winner at the fourth flight, defeating Suarez 6-1, 6-3. Hairston defeated Javier Ortiz in straight-sets as well, winning 6-4, 6-0, at the fourth flight. Temple's final singles victory came at number six as Li Tang held on for a 4-6, 6-4, 1-0 (10-7) decision over Trevor Haskell at number six.
Temple finishes the weekend playing the host Navy at 2 p.m. on Sunday, September 11.
